Can’t Stop Michele
Oakley
Even the unsung athletes can have unstoppable energy. Oakley came to my team to champion the everyday experts who Can’t Stop.
For the second installment of Oakley's #CantStop campaign, we featured Michele King Gonzalez, allstar marathon runner, army veteran and mother to two. She embodies the never-say-die attitude that is Oakley through her rigorous training and routine that takes her to running the streets with a headlamp before the sun rises and back at home from Manhattan training into the evening before doing it all over again. She bridges the gap between the celebrity level athletes and the everyday heroes who #CantStop.

Meet Michele Gonzalez
While people sleep, Michele runs. An army vet and mother of two with a full-time job in the city. She still manages to grab her headlamp every day at 4 AM to train for the next marathon.

Kettle NYC
As the art director for this project, amongst my team of 3 at Kettle, a copywriter, producer, and ACD – I was involved with the project from it's foundation, through the storyboarding, talent casting, pre-production coordination with our director / DP / set photographer, shooting on location, working directly with the photographer, acting as a background extra, to the editing, color grading, sound design, voiceover recording, and processing into multiple cuts. I also oversaw the implimentation of the project delivery through Oakley's various social channels, including a social strategy for posting cadence of images and videos as well as the web design for the feature to join Oakley's other star athletes.
Shot on location throughout Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
